Site Manager – Uckfield

Duration: 12 weeks
Start Date: Following interview
Rate: £250 - £280 per day Paid CIS 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for a fantastic traditional-build residential development in Uckfield.

The project consists of 6 houses, all at varying stages of construction, and is expected to run for approximately 12 weeks, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a role through to the New Year.

We are looking for a strong and experienced Site Manager with a solid understanding of traditional construction, particularly superstructure works. A brickwork background would be highly advantageous.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the site independently, ensuring the programme remains on track and that works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will report directly to a visiting Construction Director, so the ability to take ownership, make decisions and be accountable for the day-to-day running of the site is essential.

The successful candidate will be:

• Experienced managing traditional-build residential developments
• Strong technically, particularly across superstructure works
• Confident managing a site independently
• Able to drive the programme and keep works on schedule
• Responsible, accountable and proactive
• Professional in manner and presentation
• A strong character who can manage subcontractors and the wider site team

Requirements

• SMSTS – Essential
• First Aid – Essential
• CSCS – Required, although we can be flexible on the type of card
• Strong traditional-build experience
• Brickwork background highly desirable

Interviews will be taking place within the next 10 days, with a start date immediately following the interview process.
