Job Title: Desktop Support EngineerLocation: Caerphilly (travel to sites in the region)Salary: Up to £36,000My client is a well-known retailer, looking to bring a Desktop Support Engineer in to support a number of sites across the area. Working in a hands-on environment across the group, they are looking to bring in an experienced Support Engineer who has experience operating as a 2nd line engineer.Desktop Support Engineer ResponsibilitiesSupporting with technical implementation, while providing continuous support of technical, client-side environments.Maintenance of support software, as well as maintaining cloud services and associated hardware.Managing tickets and escalating incidents in line with SLA and ITIL-aligned processes.Support desktop OS performance and endpoint security.Composing and maintaining technical documentation and specifications.Desktop Support Engineer RequirementsProven experience as a 2nd Line Engineer or higher, managing tickets and escalating incidents.Strong understanding of a modern Microsoft 365 environment, as well as Intune, Entra and endpoint management.Experience with application packaging, deployment, MDM and ticketing systems.A drivers license is mandatory for this position, due to the field-oriented nature of the role.We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
