We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a well-established specialist primary setting in Andover. This role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children with SEMH or SEN needs, or those with a strong background in mainstream schools who are looking to transition into a more specialised and rewarding environment. About the Setting The school is a specialist provision for primary-aged pupils who require additional support with their social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting is designed to provide a structured, nurturing and highly supportive environment where pupils can feel safe, understood and ready to learn. The curriculum is adapted to meet individual needs, combining academic learning with a strong focus on emotional development, communication skills and positive behaviour strategies. Class sizes are small, allowing for a more personalised approach, and there is a strong emphasis on building trust, routine and consistency throughout the school day. Staff work collaboratively to create a calm and predictable environment, using clear boundaries alongside encouragement and positive reinforcement.
