Assistant Civils Design Engineer - Rail

The Company

You will be joining a well-established organisation that has their own in-house design function, supporting a close-knit team that operates as an internal consultancy supporting a broad portfolio of rail infrastructure projects across the UK.

The Role

• You will be supporting a variety of high-profile rail projects and frameworks across the UK, carrying out civil engineering design (Rail Depots, Stations, Ancillary, Lineside, Bridges, Platforms etc) to support rail systems delivery.
• Assist in and develop the investigation, feasibility study, outline design, detailed design and implementation of civil engineering projects, and improve overall multidisciplinary awareness.
• Assist in the management and monitoring of the budget for projects.

About You

• Awareness of draughting and BIM software and steelwork and reinforced concrete detailing.
• Civil Engineering related degree, qualified to satisfy the current entry requirements for CEng or IEng through ICE or IStructE.
• Experience in Civil Engineering railway design and or construction.
• Desire to develop existing skills and acquire new technical competence to enhance team capability.

Renumeration

• Salary up to £45,000 per annum
• 25 days holiday + BH
• Matched pension scheme up to 5%
