— Stone/Site Based, UK travel. Permanent role with a competitive salary + benefits.VIQU have partnered with a leading technology integrator to recruit a Site Technician responsible for the assembly, wiring, and testing of protection and control systems on major UK transmission and power generation projects. This hands-on, site-based role suits someone confident in electrical installations, cabling, and safety testing who is willing to travel nationwide.Responsibilities
Assembly and wiring of electrical protection and control systems using drawings and wiring schedules.Installation and termination of multicore, copper, and fibre optic cables.Mechanical assembly of cubicles, frameworks, and cable racking.Conducting electrical safety checks, insulation resistance, continuity, and point-to-point wiring tests.Supporting hardware builds, temporary test rigs, and on-site modifications.Working with site supervisors/managers to ensure deliverables and materials are ready.Updating issue logs and liaising with design, commissioning, and site engineers to resolve issues.Experience Required
Minimum 1 year experience as a site-based wireperson.Proven background in E, C and I installations (substation control/protection systems or similar) on National Grid or comparable sites.Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, and technical drawings.Willingness to travel and work away at customer sites across the UK.Full UK driving licence.How to Apply
