Job Title: Section Manager - Civil & Structural Engineering Structures

Client: Dudley Council

Location: Dudley- Hybrid

Rates: -300 Umbrella (-229.38 PAYE) per day.

JOB SUMMARY

• To effectively manage the Civil Engineering Teams providing leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of Structural Engineering team Flood Management and Geotechnical services in order to protect, develop, enhance and promote the Borough''s Highway Structures, Watercourses and Infrastructure, for the benefit of residents and visitors, and to support the environmental, economic and cultural development of the Borough.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To provide leadership and strategic direction in the management of Civil Engineering services
• To provide management of the following areas of work:-
• • 1. Identification and mitigation of areas of Flood Risk.
    2. Procurement and implementation of Geotechnical works
• To act on behalf of the Council as the contractually nominated Engineer/Project Manager for all Civil and Structural Engineering related work
• To provide strategic direction, advice and guidance on civil engineering, flood management and maintenance issues at all levels.Responsible asset manager for two Council operated and maintained sewerage pumping stations serving private sector housing sites.
