We are currently assisting a multi-disciplinary expert witness and dispute resolution consultancy as it looks to strengthen in delay analysis. The business, privately owned, boutique in nature with offices in London and Dubai, ideally requires someone experienced as a delay analyst who has supported experts in arbitration, and ideally acted as an expert witness themselves. This person will be used to advising on retrospective planning issues, EOT related disputes and arbitrations; more than likely this individual will already be established as an expert witness or high level advisor. Responsibilities
Working as part of the London expert team on major building, infrastructure and energy disputes and arbitrations.
Aiding in the development and leadership of an excellent team of Delay Analysts and Experts. Mentoring of junior staff.
Working on behalf of law firms on high value £multi-million disputes.
Writing expert witness reports and with the support of the company, working towards building your experience as one of the company''s lead experts.
Working with legal counsel in arbitration and dispute resolution proceedings.
Contributing to business development, marketing the company''s core services, values and capabilities and develop strong client relationships.
Requirements
Degree qualified in engineering/Construction or project management or relevant subject, preferably chartered with additional Legal qualifications sometimes desirable.
A career demonstrating progression and a high level of technical aptitude.
Demonstrable track record of working as a Lead assistant Delay Analyst and / or Expert Witness on delay related disputes.
Experience of contentious issues, the legal / court process.
Comfort working closely with high profile construction lawyers, contractors or clients.
Knowledge of relevant programming software, ideally Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6.
Background likely to have been at a senior or management level within a dispute resolution consultancy in the building, infrastructure, oil and gas or power sector.
Ideally 3 years + experience in professional services or consulting.
Excellent written report writing skills, presenting and verbal communication skills.
Ideally you will have been cross examined, though this is not essential.
Client and quality focussed, happy to lead with business development and develop both a company and individual client base with the team.
