Position Overview: Potting and Encapsulation Technician We are seeking a skilled Potting and Encapsulation Technician to join our team on a 12-month contract with the potential for extension. This role involves preparing, applying, curing, and inspecting encapsulation and potting compounds to secure and insulate electronic components. The ideal candidate will have technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Preparation: Mix and handle encapsulation and potting compounds, ensuring they meet consistency and quality standards.Application: Use tools to manually pour or inject materials around electronic parts or into mold cavities, filling any gaps to secure and insulate components.Curing and Finishing: Allow materials to set and solidify, often under controlled temperatures, to ensure quality and durability.Inspection and Testing: Check encapsulated parts for air bubbles, voids, or defects to maintain high performance standards.Safety Compliance: Handle potentially hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols to prevent contamination or damage to sensitive electronics.
