This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about wanting to make a difference in the lives of children and young people aged 10-19. Many of these young children have experienced trauma in many forms and because of this they have difficulty regulating their feelings and emotions. Some of the children may also have associated conditions and disabilities such as ADHD, Autistic Spectrum disorders and attachment disorders. Main Responsibilities: Assisting teachers in supporting teaching and learning in the classroom Helping the pupils feel they are in a safe space and its ok make mistakes Helping pupils learn how to express their feelings and emotions in a positive way Supporting pupils to achieve their targets and breakdown any barriers to learning To help ensure positive behaviour is maintained.
