Management Accountant Location: RochesterJob Type: Full-time, Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing business. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering financial insight, supporting decision-making, and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation. This role would suit a part-qualified, finalist or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant with experience gained within a cost-focused environment such as manufacturing, engineering, construction, or another project-based business. Key Responsibilities Management Accounts and Reporting Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting commentary. Post accruals, prepayments and journals. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews. Analyse PandL performance and investigate variances. Produce KPI and financial performance reports. Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting. Costing and Commercial Analysis Analyse project, contract or product costs to support profitability reporting. Review cost allocations and improve costing processes. Provide operational teams with financial insight on performance and margins. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction. Financial Control Prepare VAT returns and assist with statutory reporting.
