We are looking for a skilled and conscientious permanent Welder / Fabricator to join our client''s team at their site.You will be working 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pmThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder/fabricator with a background in precision manufacturing who takes pride in producing high-quality work to exacting customer specifications.The successful candidate will be responsible for the manual welding and fabrication of components, ensuring that all work meets the required quality standards, specifications and tolerances.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out manual welding and fabrication of components in accordance with customer drawings and specifications.Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings, including welding symbols and relevant British and International standards.Select and use appropriate fixtures, jigs and clamps to ensure accurate and consistent fabrication.Produce first-off components to the required specifications.Carry out self-inspection of completed work, using precision measuring equipment such as Vernier callipers, micrometers and height gauges.Work in accordance with welding specifications and procedures to minimise defects, rework and rejected components.Maintain high standards of work, quality and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.Essential Skills and ExperienceIdeally, the successful candidate will have:A good understanding of welding symbols and ..... full job details .....
