About the role An established East Sussex law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join it''s friendly finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth running of the accounts department, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures. Responsibilities will include: Completing client and business bank reconciliations Dealing with out-of-date cheques Monitoring electronic payments, including CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payments Checking completions and setting up CHAPS and other electronic transactions Arranging foreign payments when required Identifying, allocating and posting incoming electronic and manual receipts Banking client and business account receipts Calculating and applying client interest What we are looking for The successful Legal Cashier will be accurate, organised and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
