This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the S Stock upgrade works in the rail industry. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of 39.24 and a chance to work on high-profile projects within the rail sector. Key Responsibilities:Reading and following detailed work instructions and component assembly drawingsUsing a variety of hand tools, bearing press, and power toolsSetting and using a Torque Wrench, including witness markingOperating overhead cranes and workshop equipment (training will be provided)Using basic measuring tools, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, and rulersMaintaining complex systems and machinery to the highest standards Requirements: Level 3 Mechanical qualification (or equivalent)Strong experience in using hand tools, bearing press, and power toolsAbility to read and follow technical drawings and work instructionsExperience with torque wrenches and understanding of witness marking principlesAbility to use basic measuring tools accuratelyPrevious experience in the rail industry or similar sectors is desirable but not essential We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this role.For more
