In this position, you will oversee all European tax matters for our organization, including compliance, strategic planning, and advising internal stakeholders.How you will make an impact:Offering technical tax support across a global principal trading firm engaged in trading various financial products, physical assets, and crypto-assetsProviding strategic tax advice on business operations and financing measuresManaging tax audits, preparing necessary documentation, and liaising with tax authoritiesMonitoring changes in tax legislationOverseeing tax reporting and compliance for European entities with respect to corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, financial transaction taxes, and other local taxesDeveloping and implementing processes and tools to enhance tax compliance and efficiencyWhat you will bring to the team:Minimum of 8 years of relevant experienceAbility to work on own initiative with limited supervisionBackground in public accounting or financial servicesProven leadership skills with experience in leading and developing a team of tax professionalsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex tax matters to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly in the United KingdomBonus Points:A desire to explore new business areas and aspects of taxComfort with complex operations and data flows including understanding general ledger systemsPrevious experience in the proprietary trading or hedge fund industryExperience in international tax planning
