Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM - September Start

About Us: We are an inclusive school located in the Croydon area, committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all our students. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the educational and social development of students.

Providing one-on-one support to children with special educational needs.

Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.

Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of each student.

Supporting students in developing social skills and managing their behavior.

Helping with personal care tasks as needed.

Key Attributes

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

A genuine passion for supporting children with autism and physical disabilities.

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience

Previous experience working with children with autism is essential. This can include personal experience.

Experience in a school or nursery setting is preferred.

Qualifications

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desired.

Nursery Nurse qualification is also preferred.

Additional InformationAll pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
