Job Purpose / Overview The role will operationally report to the Transverse Discipline Lead within the Integrated Transverse Team, and functionally report to an Engineering Lead within the MEH and Civils Operational Branch of JDO, Bridgwater. Will be discussed in more detail The Transverse Engineering team is formed of client, UK engineers and Responsible Designer engineers from EPR Engineering. The post-holder will be a Mechanical or Materials Engineer, contributing to the nuclear safety assessment and technical assessment of engineering queries raised by the site Contractor on the MandE scope across the CI/BOP and Nuclear Island buildings. The role will consist of both client and responsible designer activities. The role will be focused on the mechanical discipline but will be interfaced with other disciplines and with several parties, such the site Contractors (composed of main suppliers and sub-suppliers), Construction teams, Quality teams, Project Management teams, or Design teams (embedded within the JDO organisation on site, or in back office).
