Warehouse Supervisor - Night Shift

Location: Blantyre
Salary: -36,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience
Hours: 10pm-7am

The Opportunity

We''re recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor / Night Shift Team Leader on behalf of an established and busy food distribution business in Blantyre.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse leader to take ownership of a busy night-shift picking operation, supervising a team of 15 warehouse operatives and playing a key role in maintaining productivity, accuracy and service levels.

The Role

Reporting into the wider management team, you''ll be responsible for coordinating the night-shift warehouse operation across ambient, chilled and freezer departments.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, takes pride in developing their team and enjoys driving performance on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise a team of 15 warehouse operatives, promoting a positive, accountable and productive working environment.

• Coordinate nightly picking operations, ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and dispatch deadlines are met.

• Oversee workflow across ambient, chilled and freezer departments, allocating resources effectively to meet operational demands.

• Monitor productivity, picking accuracy and individual team performance.

• Support staff training, development, performance management and day-to-day operational queries.

• Maintain a visible, hands-on presence across the warehouse, leading by example and supporting the team when required.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase productivity and maintain consistently high standards.

• Communicate effectively with management and relevant departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

What We''re Looking For

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.

• Experience managing a team in a fast-paced operation, ideally within food distribution.

• A strong understanding of warehouse picking processes, accuracy and dispatch deadlines.

• Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

• A strong commitment to health and safety, food hygiene and operational standards.

• Flexibility to work across ambient, chilled and freezer environments.
