Our client, a prominent player in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled C# Software Engineer to join their team in Stevenage on an initial 12-month contract. The role is pivotal to the development of advanced weapon systems, with a strong focus on simulation technologies, including digital twins and emulators.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the development of advanced defence systems from initial concept to in-service support and training.Designing and developing simulation components using C#, C++, and integration simulations, in collaboration with Project Leads and Simulation Architects.Working within a heterogeneous agile development team to develop simulations and representations of real equipment.Implementing software development approaches, including configuration control, continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment, and unit testing.Job Requirements:Proficiency in C# and C++.Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse.Ability to work from a high-level/system view into technical details.Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.Knowledge of using Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.Non-Essential Skills:Experience with distributed simulation standards/protocols (DIS, HLA, DDS) and web servic
