Blackstone Recruitment is working with a Private organisation that is recruiting a Children''s Occupational Therapist to join their Specialist Primary school based in Luton. This is a contract to start ASAP, until at least Feb 2026. Job Summary A specialist primary school in Luton, for children aged 4-11 years with autism and complex learning needs. This includes some children with cerebral palsy. The OT would need experience in working with children with these needs. To carry out specialist Occupational Therapy (OT) assessments of children/young people/adults with diverse presentations to understand the barriers to engagement in education or activities of daily living, develop goals and support the delivery of individualised intervention programmes. To formulate specialist plans for intervention and programmes to support the specific client groups based on sound OT understanding, which employs evidence-based practice and is integrated into the overall education, health and care plans (EHCP). To work independently with own caseload, under guidance of clinical supervisor/clinical lead (where less experienced), to provide direct assessment and independent/group intervention.
