JB464: Learning Support and Assessment SpecialistLocation: Uxbridge / HayesSalary: £33,429 to £46,618 per annumOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Learning Support and Assessment Specialist on behalf of one of our clients.The main purpose of the role is to coordinate screening, assessment and access arrangements for students with specific learning difficulties.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities for the Learning Support and Assessment Specialist: To undertake the role of college exam access arrangement specialist.To provide advice to students and conduct screenings as necessary, monitoring student progress and maintaining appropriate records.To plan, develop, manage and monitor the overall process of screening, referrals to educational psychologists, disabled student allowance (DSA) applications and needs assessments.To liaise with the course teams about the needs of students.To liaise with schools/parents to gain evidence of exam access arrangements at previous school/college.To attain (and keep up to date) relevant qualifications which allow the post holder to undertake the role as exam access assessor.To assist with planning and delivery of staff development to heighten awareness about exams access and more generic specific learning difficulties and other disabilities.To maintain strong links with related professional bodies, keeping up to da
