Although previous GP Partner experience is desirable, it is not essential. The main criteria is that you have 2 years post CCT experience, are willing to undertake at least 6 clinical sessions and:are keen to contribute to the running and future development of the practiceare committed to providing safe, compassionate, high-quality careValue teamwork, openness, and collaborationHave strong communication skills, including professionality and approachability.Be resilient, adaptable and calm under pressureHave an understanding of the political/economic landscape of general practiceAbout us

We are a training Practice based over 4 sites, 3 of which are owned by the Partners, with a patient list size of approximately 35,000.We believe in innovation and strive to find more efficient ways of working to optimise patient focused care.Total triage -SystmConnectMainly 15 Minute appointments6-8 clinical sessions7 weeks annual leave, 1 weeks study leaveSystmOne PracticeWeekly Combined on-call and late night commitment -12pm until 20:00)3 Saturdays per year (compensated by TOIL)High QOF achievementA multidisciplinary team made up of:7 GP Partners and 8 Salaried GPsManagement Team including: Practice, Business, HR, Clinical and Appointment ManagersClinical Practitioners undertaking home visits and assisting with patient careClinical Pharmacists managing medication related queriesExtensive Nursing Team, including specialist nurses, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, and HCSWsSocial Prescribers and Care CoordinatorsFantastic scanning and summarising team undertaking Read CodingDedicated reception and admin teamClose to Clumber Park, A1 and M1 with easy commute from Sheffield, Doncaster, Chesterfield, and Mansfield. To contribute to the leadership of the Practice and the provision of a full and comprehensive primary care service to the patients of Larwood Health PartnershipTo be part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a full range of primary care services to the registered population and those wishing to access our services as temporary residentsTo provide a high standard of clinical care and monitor outcomes taking into account up to date clinical guidelinesTo follow procedural guidelines on data entry to enable the practice to record accurate data, in line with the IM and T DESTo work closely with the other members of the practice at all timesTo attend all necessary meetings including Partnership, Practice and Educational meetings as requiredTo be able to work on any of our sites as requestedTo be available from 12 midday until 8pm on on-call daysTo work extended hours on a rota basisResponding to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate.Providing appropriate preventative health care and advice.Providing free certification in line with Schedule 9 of NHS GMS Regulations (1992).Adhering to the practice prescribing formulary.Preparing medical reports for insurance companies, employers and statutory bodies where a patient has been receiving care predominantly from you.Participating in clinical governance activity and contributing to the improvement in quality of health outcomes through the practices audit programme.Clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties as necessaryEngaging in appropriate educational activity in order to maintain clinical competence and performance, including the completion of objectives agreed by yourself and the practice in an annual Personal Development Plan.Participating in the training and development of nurses, medical students and GP registrars in the practice, when appropriate.Supporting the practice staff and responding to requests for advice and assistance from the practice reception, secretarial and nursing staff.To follow all practice policy and protocolsPerson Specification

Experience

At least 2 years post CCT experience in general practice and working in a multi-disciplinary teamExperience of using electronic clinical patient recordsExperience of undertaking audit in general practiceAble to present logical well thought through argumentsAble to provide evidence based solutions to problems and issuesGenuine commitment to improve quality in primary careExcellent oral and written communication skillsAware of local issues and their impact on the health needs of the localityAware of the need for continuous professional developmentUnderstanding of clinical governanceKnowledge of current and forthcoming frameworks and political and economic factors that impact on primary care servicesLocal knowledge and understandingAdaptableEnthusiastic and motivatedTeam playerAbility to develop effective working relationships on an individual, multi-professional and team basis with all levels of staffWork flexiblyMust be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.Previous experience as a GP PartnerQualifications
