Mechanical Supervisor required for a higher education organisation in Coventry. Working within the estates team and overseeing all mechanical maintenance, inclduing internal and external teams. As the Contractor Controller (Mechanical), you will supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance contractors and support the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality mechanical maintenance services across Coventry University Group''s campuses. You will be responsible for overseeing planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, statutory inspections, and minor mechanical projects, ensuring all activities are carried out in line with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and agreed service levels. A key part of the role involves managing contractor performance, reviewing risk assessments and permits to work, auditing workmanship quality, and ensuring compliance with mechanical safety procedures. You will act as the primary operational link between contractors, in-house technical teams, faculties, students, and stakeholders, helping to ensure works are delivered efficiently and with minimal disruption to campus activities. Using the Planon CAFM system (training provided where necessary), you will coordinate maintenance activities, maintain compliance records and asset information, monitor contractor KPIs, and support the administration of mechanical contracts.
