Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O''Rourke .In this role, you''ll be a trusted commercial lead - responsible for managing project costs, enhancing value, and ensuring commercial excellence throughout every phase of delivery.Your key responsibilities will include:Managing all commercial aspects across a complex portfolio of civil worksPreparing activity schedules, resource schedules, and analysing tender documentationSupporting procurement planning, contract negotiations and subcontractor managementLeading on cost forecasting, change control, and earned value reportingWorking closely with planning teams to assess programme risks and opportunitiesEnsuring compliance with governance, procedures and reporting standardsPreparing and negotiating claims, variations, and compensation eventsMentoring junior commercial staff and supporting recruitment efforts across the teamLeading commercial reporting and stakeholder engagement in your area of responsibilityWhat we are looking for:Chartered (RICS, ICES or CIOB) with a strong background in civil engineering or infrastructureA proven track record managing commercial outcomes on large, complex construction projectsStrong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support and influence othersSound understanding of NEC contracts and commercial risk managementSkilled in cost control, reporting, procurement strategy and supplier negotiationAble to communicate clearly and confidently with internal and external stakeholdersComfortable working with digital systems and commercial reporting toolsThis is more than a job - it''s a chance to shape something that will have a lasting impact for generations.
