Design Manager (Contract) – Workplace Interiors

London | Immediate Start | 3-Month Contract

We’re looking for an experienced Design Manager to join a high-profile workplace fit-out project in London, with an immediate start required.

This is a project-focused role, not a roaming position — you’ll be embedded on a single, large-scale scheme, supporting a critical phase of design coordination and delivery. It’s fast-paced, detail-driven, and requires someone who can confidently sit between design, technical delivery, and site.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of design coordination and delivery, ensuring the project moves seamlessly from design intent through to build.

• Lead design coordination across all disciplines (interiors, consultants, subcontractors)
• Manage the flow of drawings, packages, and technical information
• Act as the key link between design team, delivery team, and site
• Ensure design intent is maintained while remaining buildable and programme-aligned
• Review drawings for coordination, quality, and compliance
• Drive resolution of design issues and RFIs
• Support programme by ensuring design deliverables are issued on time

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience as a Design Manager on workplace/interiors fit-outs
• Background in commercial workplace design (essential)
• Confident managing multi-disciplinary design coordination
• Solid technical understanding — able to review and challenge drawings
• Experience working closely with site teams and delivery programmes
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to step into a live project and add value immediately
