SolidWorks Mechanical Design Engineer Locations: Witney, OxfordshireJob Type: Full-time, Office-BasedHours: Monday - Friday, 08:30-16:30Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 (DOE) About the Role We are looking for an experienced SolidWorks Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Witney, Oxfordshire.This is a hands-on and varied design role for an engineer with strong SolidWorks skills, sound mechanical engineering knowledge and the ability to take designs from initial concept through to prototype and production.A key focus of the role will be complex 3D modelling and surfacing, including compound curves and advanced geometry. Strong SolidWorks modelling and surfacing skills are therefore essential.You will work closely with Engineering, CNC Machining and Production teams to develop practical, accurate and production-ready designs. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed 3D mechanical designs and assemblies using SolidWorks.Create complex surfaces, compound curves and advanced 3D geometry.Produce accurate and fully toleranced manufacturing drawings.Apply GDandT and appropriate engineering drawing standards.Design components for CNC machining and production.Consider materials, finishes, tolerances and manufacturing processes during the design process.Work closely with CNC Machining, Assembly and Engineering teams.Develop products from concept through to prototype and production.Identify and resolve design challenges to ensure functional and ..... full job details .....
