Introduction
Our client is a dynamic manufacturing company and an opportunity to join them as a Production Maintenance Engineer has now become available. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency and operation of all machinery processes. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing scheduled and general maintenance, troubleshooting and improving various machines within the production area, including PU machines, pleating machines, spray glue machines, and powder coating machines.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive/Planned Maintenance: Develop, plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned machines to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan improving the reliability of the machines. Document all maintenance activities and maintain accurate records for compliance and continuous improvement.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Quickly diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on PU machines, pleating machines, spray glue machines, and powder coating lines. Execute timely repairs and adjustments to restore optimal function.
Safety & Compliance: Following strict health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments and participate in root-cause analysis for incidents and near-misses. Enforce site-wide ISO45001 compliance and local risk assessments.
Inventory and Cost Management: Monitor and manage spare parts inventory for all assigned equipment. Work closely with procurement to ensure essential parts are stocked and reorder points are maintained. Track and control spend on spares and external contractor services.
Collaboration: Liaise with production supervisors to align maintenance plans to minimise disruptions to the operation.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and improvement initiatives for management review.

No qualifications required for this role, but practical evidence of your experience and understanding will be crucial within the recruitment process.
Working Schedule
2 shifts are in place: 6am to 2.30pm / 8am to 4.30pm
Monday to Friday
