Are you a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people?Do you have the patience, empathy and enthusiasm to support pupils with additional learning needs?Can you help children build their confidence, develop their independence and overcome barriers to learning?SEN Teaching Assistant The role Islington, North LondonPrimary schoolLong-term, full-time role8:30am 4:00pm, Monday to Friday£99 £110 per dayASAP start Long-term placement SEN Teaching Assistant - Key ResponsibilitiesAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.Support children with ASD and SEMH needs.Assist with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.Support positive behaviour and engagement in learning.Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.Create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.Encourage pupils confidence, independence and social development.Build positive relationships with pupils and the wider school team. SEN Teaching Assistant - About YouThe successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have: Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or SEMH needs.A patient, calm and nurturing approach.Confidence supporting emotional regulation and behaviour.Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with teachers and the SENCO. ..... full job details .....
