Production Manager

- £50,000 per annum
- Full-time | Monday to Friday | 44 hours per week

I am working with a highly reputable manufacturing business in Manchester to find a new Site Production Manager to take over the responsibility of their factory operations and lead a high-performing team.

As Site Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy production facility. You will ensure that operations are efficient, targets are met, and quality and safety standards are consistently upheld. The Production Manager role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement across all areas of production.

Key Responsibilities for a Production Manager:

- Manage the daily production workflow to meet schedule and output targets
- Uphold health and safety and quality standards across all site operations
- Oversee materials control to ensure stock availability and smooth production
- Implement and sustain 5S workplace organisation and lean manufacturing principles
- Lead and develop a team through coaching, performance reviews and training
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and provide regular updates on KPIs
- Maintain accurate production and attendance records
- Contribute to planning meetings and operational strategy discussions

What We''re Looking for in a Production Manager:

- Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Exceptional people management and communication skills
- Hands-on, resilient, and proactive approach to solving operational challenges
- Ability to lead by example, inspire teams, and manage performance
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
