A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business based in Paddock Wood, Kent. Working within a well-established engineering team, the role will involve supporting a wide range of production processes, site services, and facilities, as well as contributing to new equipment installations and improvement projects. This is a permanent position working a two-shift pattern (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm). Maintenance Engineer Job Overview The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all production processes and site facilities. Key duties include:Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Diagnosing and resolving faults quickly to minimise downtime.Supporting the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and machinery.Working closely with production teams to maintain efficient workflow.Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to optimise process performance.Maintaining accurate maintenance records and adhering to safety and compliance standards.Liaising with suppliers and contractors to coordinate maintenance support where required.Maintenance Engineer Job Requirements Preferably a 60/40 split with an electrical bias.Recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC, ONC, or equivalent).Proven practical experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing setting
