Senior Accounts Assistant Location: Ilkeston DE7 Salary: £15.38 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am 5:00pm Temporary to permanent Looking for someone to start We are currently recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant for a leading manufacturer. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a skilled and detail Senior Accounts Assistant to support their finance team in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting that informs key business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, and journals in line with company policy and accounting standards Reconcile balance sheet accounts Support month end and year end closing processes, including trial balance reviews and audit preparation Maintain fixed asset register and ensure appropriate depreciation calculations Assist with VAT returns and other HMRC submissions Support budgeting and forecasting activities Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate cost allocations and resolve discrepancies. Continuously improve financial processes and controls for efficiency and compliance. Requirements: Proven experience in a similar accounts role with responsibility for monthly management accounts Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, and general ledger processes AAT
