This role plays a key part in supporting daily production targets and ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high-quality finish in line with customer standards. It is ideal for a skilled prepper who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced automotive environment.Responsibilities Preparing vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding, and priming panels Inspecting prepared panels to ensure there are no defects prior to paint Working on a range of vehicles, from small passenger cars to light commercial vehicles Working in line with approved standards and processes set by paint and consumables manufacturers Supporting other areas of the bodyshop when required Checking work before starting to ensure previous repairs meet required standards Completing parts requisitions accurately Ensuring all work is completed within allocated timeframes Working efficiently to meet productivity targets Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues Skills and Experience Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Prepper / Bodyshop Technician Full, valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles For insurance purposes, candidates must be over 21 years old and have held a driving licence for a minimum of two
