Site Medic / Occupational Health Technician
Job Title: Site Medic / Occupational Health Technician Construction Site (Silvertown, Canning Town)
Location: Canning Town / Silvertown, East London
Contract Type: PAYE, Temporary / Ongoing
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour, PAYE
Payment Terms: Weekly pay
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–18:00 (minimum 5 days per week, site-based)
We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Site Medic / Occupational Health Technician to provide high-quality first aid and occupational health support on site.
Key responsibilities
- Provide immediate first aid and initial assessment to employees and visitors.
- Deliver basic treatment and care as appropriate.
- Record and monitor observations, including vital signs where required.
- Carry out health screening and occupational health surveillance.
- Assess individuals and identify when further medical support is required.
- Escalate cases appropriately to a nurse, paramedic, GP or other healthcare professional.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and incident documentation.
- Support workplace health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Liaise with site management and relevant healthcare professionals.
- Ensure first-aid equipment and medical supplies are maintained and fully stocked.
- Promote a safe, professional and supportive healthcare environment.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant first-aid, occupational health or healthcare qualifications.
- Experience working as a site medic, occupational health technician, first aider, emergency care assistant or in a similar role.
- The ability to carry out initial assessments and recognise when escalation is necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, professional and reassuring manner.
- The ability to work independently while following appropriate clinical procedures.
- Strong record-keeping and confidentiality skills.
- A valid DBS check and relevant professional certifications, where applicable.
