The Opportunity An established high-end residential developer is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its team on a prestigious, large-scale residential project in Henley-on-Thames. The project involves the extensive refurbishment of a substantial country house, incorporating significant new-build elements, including bespoke leisure facilities, additional outbuildings and associated site-wide infrastructure. This is a major, high-value development for a private high-net-worth client, requiring a Design Manager with a strong understanding of luxury residential construction, complex refurbishments and detailed design coordination. Previous experience delivering high-end residential refurbishment projects is essential. Candidates must have a proven track record working on substantial luxury residential refurbishments, ideally involving country houses, private estates or similarly prestigious properties. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for design coordination across the project, ensuring all disciplines and design packages are effectively managed. Maintain close liaison with the client team, consultants, architects and specialist contractors. Coordinate design reviews with specialist contractors throughout the project. Manage multidisciplinary design coordination to ensure all information is properly integrated.
