Mechanical Design Lead - Commercial fit-out and refurb Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Lead to take ownership of mechanical design delivery across tenders and live projects. This is a senior technical role, responsible for maintaining design standards, coordinating resources and ensuring solutions are compliant, practical and delivered to programme. Key Duties Lead mechanical design delivery from tender and project handover through detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out. Develop design strategies, programmes, deliverables and risk controls, coordinating workloads across the design team. Review and approve mechanical calculations, equipment selections, schematics, layouts, specifications, schedules and technical submissions. Lead design coordination and technical meetings with project teams, consultants, clients, manufacturers and specialist subcontractors. Provide technical leadership through construction and commissioning, resolving design issues and overseeing as-built, OandM and final design close-out. Experience Needed Proven experience in a Senior or Lead Mechanical Design role within an MEP contractor, building-services consultancy or design-and-build environment. Strong mechanical building-services knowledge, particularly across HVAC, water services and associated controls.
