Croham Hurst GC is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to continue the exciting growth and development of its current success as the leading club in Croydon and South London.About the Club:Celebrating its centenary in 2011, Croham Hurst is a traditional members club that offers a warm and friendly welcome to all. Built on well drained chalk soil, it is situated in gently rolling countryside just two miles from central Croydon but feels like its in the middle of rural England with mature tree-lined fairways and dense woodland, creating a natural amphitheatre on virtually every hole. With a membership of 700 plus the club is actively involved in Surrey competitions and matches with surrounding clubs. It is highly reviewed by visitors for offering first class hospitality for golf and social events.The Role:The selected candidate will be responsible for the daily oversight and management of the Club''s growing, golf and social events, operation.

Working closely with the Chairman and Board of Directors to advance the Clubs mission of

providing members, visitors, customers, and guests with an exceptional and enjoyable golfing and social experience .The key role for the successful candidate is to inspire and lead a small team that oversees all aspects of the Clubs operation. This includes golf course and clubhouse maintenance and management, food and beverage provision, finance and budget control, whilst driving up sales and membership recruitment and retention.The successful candidate will demonstrate:Proven ability to adapt and preparedness to adopt new golf industry management ideas.A confident, motivated and hands-on leader with proven organisational skills that display attention to detail.Eagerness to further develop their managerial expertise, this individual seeks opportunities to work collaboratively with a skilled team overseeing golf and social events, food and beverage operations, and accounts management.Possesses familiarity with IG and Zero accounting, social media platforms, and member engagement via digital communications.Strong financial and commercial acumen with a proven record in budgeting and business planning.Good communications skills both written and spoken.Strong interpersonal skills, approachable and shows an understanding of the expectations associated with members of different age groups.Currently employed as an operations manager in golf or hospitality (No.2 seeking to advance to a GM post) or as GM at their first golf club and seeking to move on.Actively seeking GCMA/CMAE accreditation and participating in seminars and courses to continually enhance their expertise and understanding of the golf industry.Located adjacent to CHGC or within easy travel (1 hour) or prepared to relocate at own cost.Remuneration:
