We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader on behalf of one of our clients to join their experienced-care team, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times. You will play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and safety, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership:- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of support staff, including managing performance, delivering training, and supporting professional development.
- Person-Centred Care:- Ensure all support plans are effectively implemented and tailored to each individual, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and an improved quality of life.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:-Monitor service delivery to ensure full compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and relevant legislation.
- Operational Management:-Oversee daily operations, including rota coordination, risk assessments, incident management, and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Reporting & Communication:-Work closely with Service Managers, attend review meetings, and maintain effective communication with families, professionals, and external stakeholders.
- On-call Duties:-Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide additional support when required.
- Hands-on Support & Administration:-Work flexibly as part of the care team on shift, while also completing required administrative duties accurately and on time.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Experience:-Proven experience in a Team Leader role within a learning disabilities and/or autism setting.
- Knowledge:-Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and person-centred care principles.
- Leadership Skills:-Excellent communication, decision-making, and team motivation abilities, with a proactive and supportive leadership style.
- Full drivers license-
Qualifications:-
- NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or above), or currently working towards this qualification.
