Team Manager

Location: London Road, SM4 5DX

Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 35.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team to ensure effective delivery of social and healthcare services.
• Oversee the assessment of needs and risks, ensuring safety planning aligns with relevant legislation, guidance, and procedures.
• Implement relationship-based principles and employ systemic social work, signs of safety, and solution-focused approaches to foster positive change.
• Provide supervision, mentoring, and coaching to staff, students, and newly qualified social workers (NQSWs).
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, maintaining up-to-date documentation and records.
• Collaborate with children, families, and carers to develop and implement effective care plans.

Person Specification

• Must have advanced operational knowledge and practice experience in assessing needs and risk, safety planning, and holding uncertainty.
• Experience in working with children, families, and carers using relationship-based principles and systemic social work approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, mentoring, and coaching, including previous students or NQSWs.
• Possess a valid registration with Social Work England and HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council).
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to manage and verify compliance with all necessary legal and regulatory requirements.
