Our client is seeking a Bridge Inspector to join its Design Inspection team on a contract supporting highway and rail infrastructure projects in London. The role will involve carrying out structural inspections, preparing detailed reports and ensuring inspection programmes are delivered safely, accurately and within agreed timescales. The position may require night working and other antisocial hours.Key Responsibilities:Undertake structural inspections, including Principal and General Inspections, across the highway and rail environmentComplete inspection reports using the client''s preferred formats, including BridgeStation and written reportsWork to agreed KPI delivery timeframes and inspection programme requirementsManage an individual workload effectively while meeting scheduled inspection deadlinesAssess bridge and structural defects, including applying appropriate BCI scoringCarry out inspections involving working at height and within confined spaces, following all relevant safety proceduresMaintain accurate records using BridgeStation and other bridge management databasesUndertake other reasonable duties required to support the successful delivery of the contractJob Requirements:Experience in structural inspections within a highways, bridges or rail environmentHNC or equivalent qualification in Structural EngineeringBICS certification, or active progression towards accreditation through Lantra or a similar schemeStrong knowledge and understanding of DMRB standards, ..... full job details .....
