Mechanical Project Manager
a Mechanical Project Manager is required. a M&E fit-out contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the delivery commercial CAT A/ B Fit Out Projects in London-
This position would suit a commercially aware Mechanical Project Manager with a strong technical background in mechanical building services. You will take responsibility for projects from pre-construction and procurement through installation, commissioning and final handover.
Key responsibilities

Manage mechanical projects from initial planning through to practical completion

Oversee HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation, ductwork, heating, plumbing and associated mechanical services.

Manage site teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors.

Coordinate mechanical installations with electrical services, architectural finishes and other trades.

Review drawings, specifications and design information, raising RFIs where required.

Prepare scopes of work, technical submittals, project programmes, RAMS and procurement schedules.

Procure subcontract packages, plant and materials while identifying value-engineering and better-buying opportunities.

Monitor project budgets, variations, applications, labour and commercial performance.

Attend client, consultant, design and progress meetings.

Produce regular project reports and maintain accurate records.

Manage quality inspections, testing, snagging and defect close-out.

Develop commissioning plans and ensure systems are fully tested and demonstrated.

Coordinate O&M manuals, as-built information and handover documentation.

Ensure projects comply with CDM Regulations, health and safety requirements and company quality procedures.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and principal contractors.
Required experience
-
Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Contracts Manager.

Strong commercial fit-out or refurbishment experience.
-
Detailed knowledge of mechanical building services and the complete project lifecycle.

Experience managing subcontractors and multiple projects
-
Good understanding of procurement, cost control, variations and project reporting.

Strong leadership, organisation and client-facing communication skills.
-
A relevant mechanical, plumbing or building-services qualification would be advantageous.
