Interim Finance Officer - 4 days per week
Robertson Bell is partnering with a growing multi-academy trust in the education sector, who is seeking an Interim Finance Officer to provide critical support across their expanding central finance team.The role is four days per week, fully remote and for an initial 2 months with the strong likelihood of being extended.Key responsibilities:Payroll and pensions admin - processing new starters, overtime forms, pension queriesBudget monitoring and reforecasting - monthly budget reviews and variance analysisJournal posting - coding transactions correctly within education funding rules (pupil premium, sports premium, restricted funds)Accounts payable oversight - aged creditors reports, invoice chasing, school compliance monitoringAd-hoc support - helping school business managers and finance admins across the trust; escalating complex queries appropriatelyWhat They''re Looking ForSchools finance experienceUnderstanding of school budgets and education funding structuresAwareness of payroll processesThe role is fully remote and offers flexible term-time working.
