Role Purpose and ImpactThe role sits as part of Vixio PaymentsCompliance’s Insights and Analysis team, which provides analysis of the impact of regulation on the payments sector in jurisdictions around the worldOur content goes beyond the news, producing forward-looking analysis that helps clients understand not just what has changed, but what it means for their businessThe role contributes to the team’s success by providing thoughtful and compelling analysis in multiple formats, including articles, reports, webinars, and podcastsThe role identifies key information clients need to know and anticipate the likely impact – telling clients what comes next2. Key Scope and Responsibility LevelThe team is based in London and sits within the Regulatory Intelligence function, which produces a wide range of content and analysis across multiple verticalsThe role plays an important part in determining the way the team functions, acting as deputy to the Editor and mentor to more junior colleagues3. Core Value PropositionWe’re looking for someone curious, resilient, and confident, who thrives on asking the right questions, delivering high-quality work under pressure, and communicating with clarity and impactKey Responsibilities:Strategic:Contribute to the prioritisation of the Insights and Analysis team’s workload and focus, using your knowledge of regulation and the market context to help ensure our coverage is relevant and valuableDevelop a quality network of sources, including regulators, industry experts, and lawyers. Build trustworthy relationships with contacts and sources for use in researchStay abreast of industry trends and developments by attending events and conferences, speaking with sources, scanning social media, reading relevant publications, etcDevelop a deep understanding of the regulatory frameworks in place in key jurisdictionsOperational:Identify emerging themes, propose analysis topics, and lead the production of high-value contentPrepare and submit outputs that are ready for editorial approval and within deadlinesLeverage data and quantitative insights, where relevant, to support and strengthen regulatory analysisResearch and write stories/reports using data and information from multiple sources. Ensure written work is clear, concise, and factualAdhere to the Editorial standards and guidelinesRepresent Vixio at third-party events and on webinars and podcastsPerform horizon scanning to ensure that all regulatory updates are captured and documentedParticipate in broader editorial discussions around trends and coverage ideasDocument and share notes and insights gleaned from interviews, events, sources with the Insights and Analysis team and the wider businessSupport the Editor in the day-to-day planning and execution of content production, review, and publishingAct as a mentor to more junior colleagues, guiding their development and their understanding of the subject matterWork closely with colleagues in the Reg Intel team to integrate insights from the platform into forward-looking analysisPerformance expectations:Deliver a consistent pipeline of high-value Insights (news analysis pieces) and Regulatory Influencers (longer, more nuanced analysis pieces), while also contributing to Outlooks (long-form forward-looking reports), podcasts, and webinars in line with team objectivesSkills and Experience:Required:Degree in journalism, law, economics, politics, international relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)Strong understanding of payments/financial services regulation and policy, with the ability to interpret regulatory change for a business audienceExcellent writing and analytical skillsAbility to work independently to produce analysis that requires minimal editingConfident external representation (events, webinars, podcasts)Preferred:Experience producing thought leadership, reports, or research for a professional/industry audienceNetwork of industry contacts in payments, fintech, or financial services.Proficiency in Spanish-Hybrid Working (2 days in the office)-20 days working abroad-Salary sacrifice company car scheme-Externally run sales training aligned to your objectives
