OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for an electrically biased Senior Project Engineer, based from either Sheffield or Leeds, to work on a project with sites in Wakefield and Barnsley. The project is a refurbishment of a live data centre, starting in the summer and expected to run for around 18 months, with potential for further work. There may be occasional travel to Scotland.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of the project in your area of responsibility, ensuring activities are engineered to specification, delivered safely, profitably and to customer satisfaction.

Ensure that safety is the priority on all activities on the project.

Participate in pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities, efficiency and profitability.

Review the project scope of works to ensure precise provision of the customer’s requirements.

Identify project risks and opportunities and mitigate or enhance them as appropriate.

Procure and deliver engineering solutions to meet financial and commercial objectives.

Provide accurate and timely information on site progress to the Project Manager and Commercial Lead.

Manage any sub-contract resources if applicable.

Provide leadership to project team members within your area of control, maximise performance and ensure objectives are met.

Build and maintain positive customer relationships.

Ensure project close-out is completed in accordance with customer requirements, maximising project profitability.

What we’re looking for

Industry-recognised electrical qualification (trade or professional).

Demonstrable experience with electrical installations in a construction environment and in a similar role.

Specific experience on high-value building services projects (eg £10m).
