We are looking for a strong, tenacious and experienced Senior Credit Controller to join a busy and growing property management group based in North West London. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in rent arrears, credit control and housing/property-related legal processes. Key Responsibilities Proactively manage and pursue rent arrears, taking timely and appropriate action to maximise rent collection and minimise outstanding balances. Manage and monitor tenants'' Universal Credit claims, ensuring claims are maintained correctly and payments are received and appropriately allocated to rent accounts. Work proactively with tenants, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), local authorities and other relevant agencies to resolve issues affecting Universal Credit claims. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, payment delays, suspended claims and other issues that may impact rent payments. Monitor accounts following rent increases and take appropriate action where tenants fail to pay the revised rent. Initiate and manage County Court Judgments (CCJs) where required, ensuring all procedures and timescales are followed correctly. Oversee the progress of possession proceedings, working closely with solicitors, legal representatives and internal teams to ensure cases progress efficiently.
