My Local Authority client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Head of Procurement on a Contract basis. The role will provide strategic leadership for the corporate procurement function, while leading on transformation objectives. About the role: Based in London (Hybrid): Lead a service of up to 22 procurement and commercial professionals, directly managing senior leaders within the function.Lead and deliver the Council''s procurement transformation programme, championing innovation, efficiency and best value.Develop and implement the Council''s procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and best practice.Take overall responsibility for procurement governance, contract management frameworks and procurement policies.About you: You will have the following experiences:Significant experience leading a procurement function, in a Local Authority context.Demonstrable record of delivering procurement transformation, commercial savings and service improvements.Strong experience managing budgets, teams and performance in a leadership capacity.Deep expertise in procurement, sourcing, contract management and commercial strategy.What''s on offer:Salary: 700- 750+ per day, inside IR35Hybrid WorkingContract type: ContractHours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday How to apply Once your CV is received, if you are successful you will be contacted.Due to the extremely high number of applications, it may not be possible to contact every applicant.
