Unqualified Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provisions

Location: Preston and surrounding areas
Pay: -109.85 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Start Date: Immediate starts available

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work within specialist educational provisions across Preston and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and want to make a positive difference to their education, development and wellbeing.
You will work alongside experienced teaching staff to support pupils with a range of individual needs, helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Provide support to pupils with their learning, development and engagement in classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist pupils with emotional, behavioural and communication needs.
• Support teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day.
• Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to support individual pupil needs.

• A genuine interest in working with children and young people within specialist educational settings.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• An Enhanced DBS check for the Children''s Workforce, either already in place and registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply and pay for one and register it on the Update Service.
• A minimum of 24 months of employment references, with no large or unexplained gaps in employment history.
• The ability to commit to full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time-only work.
