Maintenance Technician (General Builder) £28,000-£31,000 + £2,700 Call-Out Rota + Overtime + £600 Skill Uplifts 36-Hour Week + 39 Days Holiday + Monday-Friday ReadingLooking for a stable, site-based role with a 36-hour week, 39 days holiday and lots of Overtime oppurutnities to boost earnings on a beautiful University Estate?This Maintenance Technician role suits a General Builder or Multi-Trade Operative with a background in brickwork, drainage, roofing and external works, looking for a permanent, in-house position with steady hours and consistent workload.This Maintenance Technician position is based on a large university estate, carrying out a wide range of building repairs across live campus buildings, roads, pathways, drainage systems and building fabric.The Role Road, pathway and paving repairs Brickwork, blockwork and small concrete repairs Drainage repairs, unblocking and minor excavation work Roofing, guttering, lead flashing and chimney repairs Door repairs, ironmongery, shelving, signage and general carpentry Basic plumbing repairs to sanitary ware, toilets, sinks and pipework Installing wooden or concrete ramps and handrails General building fabric repairs across occupied campus buildings Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Logging work, risk assessments and updates via CAFM systemHours, Overtime and Call-Out 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday Paid overtime available Call-out rota approx. 1 weekend in every 4-5 £2,700 annual call-out rota
