RQ12287**Pricing Senior Test Analyst****Location:** London**Contract Type:** Permanent**Work Pattern:** Full Time and Hybrid**About the Job**We’re looking for a qualified Senior Test Analyst with previous experience testing pricing models, preferably within an insurance environment.As an insurance firm, building accurate, efficient pricing models which are used by our underwriters helps to inform the correct level of premium required for the risks we are adding to our portfolio. Insurance companies couldn’t function without these tools. Working with the Pricing Development team you will ensure that the models deployed are efficient and free from errors.**What you’ll spend your time doing:**While there is rarely a typical day, here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:* Development of test plans to support the delivery of a test service;* Analysis of test requirements and the creation of test scenarios and scripts;* Execution and maintaining of test scripts;* Tracking and reporting on incidents and test progress to key stakeholders;* Providing advice and guidance to team members, and review of their work to ensure the required quality standards are met; and* Assurance of supplier and partner test activities.**You’re going to enjoy this job if you also:*** Enjoy problem solving and critical thinking to provide innovative solutions;* Working in a dynamic agile environment;* Working with stakeholders such as pricing actuaries and underwriters.* Engaging with technical business analysts focusing on technical pricing.**What you’ll need:*** Testing Methodologies: Understanding and applying various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance, security testing) is essential.* Testing Tools: Proficiency in using testing tools for test management, bug tracking, automation, and performance monitoring is crucial such as TFS and or Azure Dev Ops, and Selenium.* Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages like C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python can be helpful for creating test scripts and automation frameworks.* Operating Systems and Platforms: Understanding different operating systems and platforms (e.g., Windows) is important for cross-platform testing and in particular SaaS and COTs.* Database Testing: Excellent knowledge of SQL for analysis, reporting, and data corrections; for testing data-related aspects of applications.* API Testing: Ability to test APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger.* Technical Writing: Hands-on technical writing and editing experience, with specific experience in documenting information technology software and systems.* Defect Tracking Systems: Experience with tools like Jira, TFS, Azure Dev Ops or others.* Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms and services is often a plus such as Azure and AWS.* Performance Testing: You have a good knowledge of Performance Testing (ideally with JMeter).*We are stronger together because of our common interests and rich differences.
