Consultant Psychiatrist - North West & Yorkshire | Care in Mind

OverviewConsultant Psychiatrist. Permanent - full time with part time hours negotiable, at least 3 days per week. Home based with travel to cover three hubs across the North West and Yorkshire. Must be a driver with access to a vehicle. Salary £165,000 - £200,000 FTE based on experience and pro rata for part time hours.
RoleTo lead multi-disciplinary review monthly of young people in residential care at Care in Mind residential homes; acting as Responsible Clinician in accordance with MHA (amended 2007) and utilising Care Programme Approach. This includes medication management, risk assessment and review, MHA and Mental Capacity assessments, and maintaining an overview of progress across all domains.
Qualifications and Requirements
Fully Registered Medical Practitioner
Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
Approval under Sec 12 MHA 1983/current Approved Clinician Status
GMC registration and revalidation
About Care in MindCare in Mind provides residential services for young people aged 16-30 years old. The young people we care for often require a high level of support to assist with difficulties such as self-harming, behaviour, and emotional difficulties. Our aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to help them achieve their individual goals, in preparation for transition to adult life.
Role DetailsCare In Mind’s ethos centers on collaboration; you will work closely with the Lead Consultant managing a shared caseload of 40-55 young people aged 16-30. You will have an interest in psychological thinking with a strong base in psychiatric medical management to support the complexity of presentations and risk. This work is supported by a multidisciplinary team with long-term input from Nursing and Psychology, plus a strong residential team. The service is spread across the North West and Yorkshire; driving is kept to one area per day.

Specialist CAMHS/GA/Medical Psychotherapy/Forensic training (CCT or equivalent) or equivalent)
