Remote, UK coverageWe are seeking a Technical Assessor with experience in manufacturing coke oven products. External Technical Assessors are vital to the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to ensure robust evaluations in Coke and Refinery sectors.This role offers industry professionals a chance to expand skills and advance careers alongside current roles.Manufacture of coke oven products, production of coke and semi-coke, pitch, oven gas, crude coal, lignite tars, and coke agglomeration.Understanding of manufacturing processes and environmental impacts of coke and refined petroleum products.Production of motor fuels, gasoline, kerosene.Production of fuels like light, medium, and heavy fuel oils, refinery gases.Manufacture of oil-based products for petrochemicals and road coverings.Manufacture of petroleum briquettes and biofuel blending.Additional on-site expertise in:Carbonisation processesDistillation of tar from ligniteMineral oil production and safetyEnvironmental legislation and impactsCoke production and by-productsCrude coal productionA degree in organic chemistry is preferred; extensive experience will also be considered.Learn more about this opportunity:UKAS Careers - Technical AssessorsCandidate privacy notice:UKAS Candidate Privacy Notice
