Registered Children''s Home Manager

Lead the day-to-day running of a children''s home, ensuring safe, high-quality care for children with complex needs. You''ll shape support for children with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, significant physical impairments and/or complex health needs.

Up to -55,387 upon completion of probation and the relevant Level 5 qualification.

The role

As the Registered Children''s Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the home. The role exists to provide consistent, effective care and support that meets regulatory standards and the individual needs of each child. You will use your experience in children''s residential settings to guide practice and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

What you''ll be doing

- Leading the overall operation of the children''s home in line with regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing care and support for children with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, physical impairments and complex health needs.
- Providing supervision, guidance and support to staff working within the home.
- Ensuring care planning, recording and review processes reflect each child''s needs and progress.
- Promoting a safe, nurturing environment that supports children''s development and well-being.
- Working directly with children as needed to model best practice and maintain high standards of care.

What we''re looking for

- At least two years'' experience working in a children''s home within the last five years.
- At least one year''s experience in a supervisory or management role in a children''s home.
- Experience of direct work with people who have moderate to severe learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum conditions.
- Experience supporting people with significant physical impairments and/or complex health needs.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willingness to commence within three months of appointment.
